Lyrics to Destination Earth

Destination EarthÖÖ

Destination Earth , 1999 ,
Planet of my birth, just another phase in Time
Time to take a ride, to a future day,
I just wanna see, if love will be the way
I just canít take it no more, ain't nothing to stay in this world for,
Maybe by then we will see that unless we learn to live love we can never really be free

Time to take a trip to another age,
Turn the book of time to another page,
You know I canít take this world, full of pain and hate,
Maybe Iíll find love in a future date
I feel a void in my soul, filling it with love is my main goal
So since I canít do it here, Iím gonna see if I can find love somewhere in a future year

Destination Earth, 1999,
Planet of my birth, Just another phase in Time,
Gonna take a ride, in my time machine,
Maybe there Iíll see the answer to my dreams
And what Iím hoping to find there is a better world than we have here,
I hope Iím on the right track, cause If I find a world full of love you know I'm never gonna come back

Computer age (Push the Button)
« Reply #18 on: April 04, 2005, 07:26:42 PM »
Ok, this one has had me stumped for years! I know quite a bit, but am having a tough time hearing some of the words. Especially the ending chorus (Vocoder / computer voice)
Anyway, here is my attempt. The words surrounded by ??? means I am not sure if this is what it should be. Hopefully Cozmo or someone can correct me. Here goes...

   ***Computer Age (Push the Button)***

Push the button

 <Are we under their control, or are they under our control,or what?>
 <Are we under their control, or are they under our control,or what?>

Push the button

Computer age is now
Everyone must have a machine
They say it's going to make life easier,
well, I can't stand it....

They say we should put them in control
Well, maybe next we'll give them a soul
I guess we must now think that we're gods,
While we're less men than ever

I know the Lord must not be too glad
In fact, I'm sure he must be quite mad
To see us take His role from our lives ???
And give it to computers

For here we sit in our easy chairs
As our machines decide how we'll fare
Who will suffer, who will survive?
It's up to the computers

Push the button

 <Are we under their control, or are they under our control,or what?>

Push the button

 <Are we under their control, or are they under our control,or what?>

Push the button!

 <Are we under their control, or are they under our control,or what?>

 <Are we under their control, or are they under our control,or what?>

Push the button!

<Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning!>

<Computing>

"I'm no longer in control
I can't program my machine
Now it wants to take my soul
Stop it or it will procede!"

<Computing>

<Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning!>

Push the button

<Why is it you're trying to give me>
<Program>
<I'm in charge and yet you're trying to>
<Program>
<I'm metal so you think you have to>
<Program>
<But I'm a man 'cause I don't need a>
<Program>
<Now computing...now computing...now computing...now computing...>
<Are we under their control, or are they under our control,or what?>

    Help.   :roll:  :(

Alright, I'll let someone else give it a try. Anyone for "Automan"
Maybe the one off the website, with the answering female chorus?
I'm going away for a week, so I'm too busy to attempt it now. Maybe when I return it will have been posted.
 Don't worry, I got my ipod packed with Jam On joints! See ya in a week, or so.

i have some more of the lyrics on the way.. im just popping in home now between work here and there tho.. few probs.. stayed over at a residential place last night where they had temporarily placed a violent downs syndrome guy in the rental property of a nonverbal brain damaged guy while they found permanent accomodation, got up this morning at 6 and the non verbal guy was in bed with blood all down his face, lips busted , two black eyes ,blood nose,swollen face and the other guy was in the shower , presumably washing blood off his hands.. so we gotta investigate that shit....  :cry:

fukkin stupid managers.. put a violent guy in with another who cant tell you if he is being beat up..

Damm Tim, I don't know who has the worst job, you or our friend Greg who works for Child Welfare.  Just about every NYC horror case that involves kids he has to personally deal with. :(

****AUTOMAN****

They met one day in a Summer storm
The melodrama had begun
Their senses told them that it was wrong
But the damage had begun
She was a young lady of 23
A woman in the prime of life
He was a child of technology

The scientists hadn't planned it this way
That their creation could be loved
They just wanted to play God for a day
And dethrone the Lord above
But their mistake was this two's pain
For her love could not be denied
She refused to listen as he explained

"I'm an automan,"
"I'm made of wires...wires...wires..."
"I'm an automan,"
"There ain't no way that I could ever love you"

He wasn't programmed to understand
This feeling that tugged at her heart
Though technically he was a man
They were still a world apart
Love wasn't in his capacity
But her love grew on and on
Again he pleaded "why don't you see?"

"I'm an automan,"
"I'm made of wires...wires...wires..."
"I'm an automan,"
"There ain't no way that I could ever love you"

She held him close as if to say
"You live so that means you can love"
With tears in his eyes he pulled away
He said "I don't even have a heart beat...listen"

"I'm an automan,"
"I'm made of wires...wires...wires..."
"I'm an automan,"
"There ain't no way that I could ever love you"
"No...no...no..."

This is still a song that I consider one of the very best that I've ever written.  Someday I will find a way to record it in a way that does it justice.

Thank you, Cozmo!
 I can now sing these songs to myself without muttering the lines that I didn't know.
 Automan is so creatively written that it paints the picture in your mind as you hear it. No real nead for music videos when you have such dramatic lyrics like these. -Sort of like a good book!
 Well, I'm leaving on Wednesday. Taking my daughter to the world of the mouse, in sunny Florida. But, I'll be back with more lyrical requests.
Thanks again Coz!
Aquene.

 Hey! Whats up Coz? I'm back! Mickey Mouse says "Hi!"
Regarding the DVD, you do not owe me a thing! You and the rest of Jam On have already done more than enough for me ,through the years, by making some of the best electro-funk I have ever heard. Getting a singed cd from you was the icing. (Thanks again.) It is too bad that the video is all there is. Well, maybe something else will turn up someday.
Well, be good my friend!
Talk to ya soon!
